Hi all! It’s Maria here again, and today I’m going to talk a little bit about tutoring.
When I say tutoring, I don’t just mean other peope who are at uni, I also mean in local schools and academies. Tutoring is brilliant to put on a CV and it is really easy if you know how to deal with kids!
So how can you actually get into tutoring?
Well, a lot of Universities actually have a Careers Services department and they can help put you in touch with the people who need help. They may contact a school for you or may give you the number to contact the school. They might even find out what you’re interested in tutoring and possibly hand you over to specific departments within the university for you to tutor other students.
Anyway, this was just a small tip for you to think about, any questions, just email me @:

Good Luck!
Ok, so Tip NÂș 2. Tip 2 is all about looking for jobs. There are loads of places out there where you can look for jobs; newspapers, websites, TV etc. So why don’t you have a look and see if there is anything that interests you?
What do I mean by that? Well, let’s say you’re interested in photography. I’m sure there is a newspaper somewhere in the world which would pay you for your photos. Or maybe there are sites on which you can sell your photos to individuals. Actually, I know for a fact that there are sites on which you can put your photos up for sale.
Look for jobs using your hobbies! Advertise yourself! If you can speak fluent Spanish for example, why not offer yourself up for Spanish talking sessions, being paid by the hour? Or if you can play the guitar, offer lessons! These can all be offered through your university (generally) or just post posters around the city or in libraries or on websites (Gumtree for example) etc.
A good website where you can look for jobs is on the government website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Jobseekers/index.htm . Here you can look for certain jobs by type, hours etc.
Look in the local newspaper. For example, I look in the Liverpool Echo for jobs.
Remember, soon you will also be able to look at Job Site!
